ContextFor a project at university we needed to create the brand of a publisher and the book covers of an edition of 5 books.
BrandEngrandecer is a name that in portuguese means “aggrandise“, or “to enlarge”, “to make bigger”... but in a more philosophical way like “adding value”. I chose this name for the publisher so it would always add value to each book it edits and publishes.
The logo is the letter E mixed with the shape of Fernando Pessoa, one of the most famous Portuguese writers of all times.
Book DesignFor the books I chose to use geometrical illustrations made by me that represent a part of the book or the story in it. This way of drawing complex meanings using the most simple shapes is what makes them beautifully meaningfull.
ExecutionI created the name of the brand, it’s logo and the five book covers. I also did all the illustrations.
