Context
A university project where we were challenged to create a christmas edition of Delta's coffee pods. We needed to have the idea, create the packaging and create a video that could be used as an Ad for the campaign.
Insight
Christmas is the season where every family reunite but with modern technologies accessible to everyone what we see every christmas is everyone on their phones. The crazy talks, the feeling of needing to reunite, the anxiety to finish eating to go and play with the cousins, it's getting lost... And the tech that should help us to be in cintact with each other more easily is also keeping us apart when we are together.
Idea
So, the idea was to try to use tech in our favor to reunite familys, to recreate these bonds that keep us together.
We are not removing tech, that couldn't happen, but we can use it in our favor to recreate these beautiful and memorable moments putting Delta in the heart of its consumers.
Execution
I created a packaging that when we point the camera to it, appears with Augmented Reality, a wheel with challenges and games to do with the family, friends, etc... Some little challenges like a race of paper planes or the broken phone game. The Ad I created was representing a group of friends in their phones and when someone brings the coffee to the table, "magic" happens, coffee is part of our lives and moments, and with Delta, it becomes a necessity for Christmas. Everyone will remember that Christmas.
