ContextFor the final project of the professional course at Escola Profissional ValdoRio, we needed to have an idea, create a brand and all the brand assets, create a packaging and create a poster or some simple communication piece.
InsightThere was a gap in the market. In one side we have bracelets, they are cool, stylish and versatile, the truth is that they dont do anything more than being stylish, at the other side we have smart watches and smart bands, they are very usefull, they can monitorize a lot of our biometric data, we can see the time, weather, etc.. in them and we can also make calls, track our gps location etc... but they have a screen, and no mather how resistent a screen is, it breaks, it is not flexible and it catches attention, if a rober see's us with a screen on our wrist is most likely to be interested than with a normal bracelet.
IdeaCreate a screenless smartband with multiple functions. It is stylish, is bendable, is resistent and also very techy, it can monitorize our biometric data, it uses less energy since it has no screen, it can be a life saver because it can be used as a phone charger, as a portable pen and it can be in a variety of different materials. Everything can be monitorized in the mobile app. The premium version can also support add-ons either found in the market on the app or created by users but to be able to use, they need to be aproved by the brand to maintain the safety and functionalities intact.
ExecutionI had the idea, created the brand, it's guidelines, the logo animation, the mobile app UI, the outdoor communication, the box where the bracelet came in, the tri-fold flyer with the three models and the website for the presentation. This project was proven to be realistic since my friend Leandro Monteiro worked on the technical part of the bracelet for his final project on IT systems and everything worked as planned.
